Patravadi Theatre

Renowned for its lavish production, Patravadi Theatre is the only open-air playhouse in Bangkok. The theatre gains popularity through its modern adaptation of classical Asian literature and contemporary performances. Established in 1992, the present site of the theatre was originally a school built by Khunying Supatra Singholaka, mother of Patravadi Mejudhon. It basically aims to give aid to the local community. With its noble intent, Patravadi has carried on the mission by developing the school into performing arts institute, providing quality training to the youth and help them secure profession.

The National Theater

The National Theater is the official center of Thai classical performances. Thai classical dramas, contemporary plays and others are regularly staged here. One of its acclaimed attractions is the performance of the “Khon”. It is a classical Thai presentation made popular of wearing traditional Thai Mask. Every last Friday and Saturday of the month, The National Theater features the exhibition of Thai classical dances and music. Delegates from other provinces and other countries also perform here from time to time. (2,465 lb.) Samutprakarn Crocodile Farm & Zoo is considered the oldest farm and zoo in Thailand. It was founded in 1950 by the famous Crocodile King, Mr. Utai Youngprapakorn.

SAMPHRAN ELEPHANT GROUND & ZOO

Established in March 24, 1985, this 22-acre park is made popular for being home of numerous wild animals and thousand crocodiles. About an hour drive from Bangkok, spectator will definitely wonder how the colossal elephant dance, race, play and do some wacky tricks to entertain the visitors. Part of the show is the re-enactment of Yutha Hathi. This is a great royal battle scenario where elephant’s enormity was used to win the battle. Its history was anchored during the era of Ayutthaya.
